Who we are
The Compassionate Leadership Institute is a trading name of the practice of Imre Végh, registered in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 30212820. We are the controller for the personal data described here.

This website
No cookies are set by us. The site loads Google Analytics with consent denied by default for analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and personalisation. In that mode Google Analytics stores nothing on your device and reports only aggregate, non-identifying counts, so we can see which pages are read without knowing who read them.
Server logs. Our host, Greenhost B.V. in Amsterdam, keeps standard web server logs that include IP addresses. These are used to run and secure the server, and we do not use them to build profiles.
Typefaces. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address reaches Google when a page opens. If you would rather avoid that, a content blocker stops it and the site stays perfectly readable in its fallback typefaces.
The TEDx video. The talk on the homepage is a still image until you click it. Nothing loads from YouTube before that, and when it does it uses YouTube’s no-cookie domain.
No contact form. There is nothing on this site to fill in. Getting in touch means sending an email or calling, so you decide what you tell us.
When you contact us
We keep the message you send and the details in it, so we can answer you and, if it goes further, quote and plan the work. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering correspondence.
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after two years. Correspondence that belongs to an engagement is kept with that engagement.
Training, coaching and keynotes
Participant details. For a programme we process the names, work email addresses and roles your organisation shares with us, so we can run the programme. Legal basis: performing the contract with your organisation.
What is said in the room stays in the room. Coaching and training work only in confidence. We do not report what an individual said, did or struggled with back to their employer. Anything we do share is at the level of themes and patterns across a group, never traceable to a person.
Evaluations. After a programme we ask for a written evaluation. These are processed anonymously and used in aggregate, which is where the figure of 9.3 out of 10 across 105 evaluations comes from. A quotation is only published without a name attached, unless someone explicitly agrees otherwise.
Notes. Coaching notes are kept for the duration of the engagement plus two years, then deleted. Invoices and their administrative data are kept for seven years, because Dutch tax law requires it.
Photographs
Some of the photographs on this site were taken during our own sessions. We ask permission in the room before a picture is taken and again before one is published. If you appear in an image here and would rather not, tell us and we will remove it. No argument, no form.
Who else sees your data
Only the parties needed to do the work: our host (Greenhost B.V., Netherlands), Google Analytics in the cookieless mode described above, our email and accounting providers, and our accountant. We do not sell personal data, we do not trade it, and we run no advertising or tracking pixels.
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer rests on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit what we do with it, to receive it in a portable form, or to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email imre@cl.institute and we will respond within one month, normally much sooner.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. We would rather you told us first, so we can put it right.
